The tone of our flugelhorn can be best described as warm and dark. This characteristic is ideal for most situations where the flugelhorn is needed. In order to allow the player to have full control over the pitch on low D & Db, we have added a spring-loaded trigger mechanism to allow the player the ability to extend the length of the 3rd valve slide. By extending the length of the slide tube, the pitch will be more centered, thus ensuring proper pitch.
